The project involved the renovation of Sections 7 and 8 of Pavilion A at the Lorusso and Cutugno Prison in Turin, improving hygiene conditions, separating sanitary facilities from sleeping areas, and enhancing both safety and dignity for inmates.
The intervention included accessible spaces for inmates with disabilities, upgrades to the video surveillance system, modernization of electrical and lighting systems, and optimization of energy management. An air treatment system was installed to improve indoor air quality, complemented by new openings for natural ventilation.
Developed during the pandemic period, the project also incorporated measures to enhance thermal and acoustic insulation, ensuring high standards of health, comfort, and overall livability.
