The studio refurbished a 1970s single-family house, intervening on the building envelope, systems, and accessibility. The project redefined the relationship between interior and exterior through the application of external thermal insulation, the replacement of the windows, and the addition of movable shading systems, improving living comfort and the formal balance of the façades.
The roof was completely redesigned to accommodate the new systems and ensure continuous insulation. Inside, the introduction of a radiant floor heating system allowed for a freer spatial layout and a cleaner composition.
The integration of an elevator shaft and stairlift made the home fully accessible without compromising its volumetric coherence. The intervention achieved an energy performance upgrade from class F to class A3, yielding benefits both in terms of efficiency and overall perception.
