The project involves the merging of two adjacent residential units located on the sixth floor of a building in Turin. The intervention focuses on the functional reorganization of internal spaces, ensuring optimal use while meeting contemporary requirements for residential comfort and efficiency.
The demolition of existing partition walls between the entrances will create a single housing unit, improving the flow and natural lighting of the spaces. In Unit 1, the living room will be expanded into a fluid open space integrating the bedroom and living area, while the bathroom will be realigned to optimize the layout. Unit 2 will accommodate the kitchen and a second bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, with targeted modifications to maximize functionality and aesthetic coherence.
Internal and external windows and doors will be replaced with high-performance energy-efficient models, and existing floors will be renewed with premium finishes. The project also includes a complete overhaul of electrical, heating, and plumbing systems, adopting advanced technological solutions to reduce energy consumption and improve the overall sustainability of the intervention.
