The design proposal aims to improve the outdoor areas of the employment center in Venaria Reale. To enhance user comfort, the project addressed both practical aspects, such as maintenance of certain areas, and purely aesthetic considerations.
The outdoor spaces were redefined through a new layout that emphasizes the landscape and environmental characteristics of the surrounding context. The garden was divided into multiple functional areas using different types of paving, which not only add visual interest but also allow full use of the outdoor space, including the creation of a new parking area.
Urban furniture plays a key role in the project: in addition to new road signage, benches and accessories such as trash bins are planned along pedestrian paths, made of concrete to echo the shapes of the existing curbs. Given the new use of the building and its associated activities, a high-efficiency LED outdoor lighting system has been proposed to make the external area more welcoming, safe, and functional at all hours of the day.
