The project aims to meet the demand for maximizing the number of niches and cells without compromising the usability, accessibility, and sustainability of the entire area. Integration with the existing complex is essential due to current urban planning constraints; therefore, the intervention is conceived as a seamless continuation of the existing structure, preserving the environmental and landscape features through a simple, rigorous, and fully optimized design.
The structural aspect is central to the project: a mixed reinforced concrete system has been planned, combining prefabricated and cast-in-place elements to allow versatility, rapid installation, compliance with seismic regulations, and achievement of the required quality and aesthetic standards.
The systems have been designed to optimize energy efficiency, facilitate maintenance, and provide operational flexibility. Additional attention has been given to soil protection, microclimate impact, air pollution, and minimizing effects on the site’s hydrology and underground layers.
