The final executive design concerns the adaptation and removal of architectural barriers in a public residential building complex in Moncalieri. The project aims to improve living conditions for the residents, who currently occupy spaces that are inaccessible to people with disabilities and have an energy performance level inadequate for current needs.
Barrier removal is achieved through the design and subsequent construction of external elevators with access platforms directly connected to the existing balconies of each building, providing a new, fully accessible entrance to all residences. From an energy perspective, the project includes improvements such as the replacement of windows and the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof of each building, which will not only power the new elevators but also make the new internal and external lighting systems independent and energy-efficient.
