The project involved the construction of a new burial block in Field 12 of the main cemetery, ensuring spatial continuity with the existing structures. The intervention included 252 burial niches and 140 ossuary units, arranged in a functional layout that facilitates both access and maintenance.
The foundations and perimeter walls were built in reinforced concrete, while the use of prefabricated niche elements significantly reduced construction time. Airtight closures ensure gas impermeability and long-term durability. The concrete paving is crossed by stone inserts that guide visitors along a symbolic path.
The entrance is marked by an architectural portal that highlights the transition between the existing cemetery and the new addition. A ceremonial courtyard featuring reflecting pools creates a contemplative gathering space. The project adhered to an integrated safety approach, incorporating a Safety and Coordination Plan (PSC) and project management tools to optimize time and resource efficiency.
