The studio reorganized two 1960s apartments, redefining the domestic sequence without altering volumes or surface areas. The project involved demolishing the existing partition walls and creating a more continuous layout: the living room and kitchen were combined into a single open space, while a central hallway rationalized access to the bedroom and the bathroom, the latter enlarged to meet health and hygiene requirements.
The original window frames were replaced with certified low-transmittance units; the heterogeneous flooring was removed and replaced with dry-laid floating parquet. All building systems were completely renewed, including a new electrical panel, LED lighting fixtures, and data cabling.
The intervention improved thermal and acoustic comfort and reduced energy demand, complying with the limits set by Ministerial Decree 26/06/2015 and the BR1 designation of the local PRGC. The firm oversaw the architectural design, construction management, and coordination of the works.
