The project involved the preparation of the site for the construction of the new Control Tower and Technical Block at Milan Linate Airport, including modifications to the road layout, temporary and permanent fencing, ordnance clearance, and the relocation of interfering trees. During the works, a design variation was introduced to address new requirements, including the installation of an ENEL cabin and new conduits, managing these changes in compliance with public procurement regulations and keeping costs within the planned limits.
The main activities included the excavation and leveling of the cleared land, installation of New Jersey temporary barriers, and planting of new trees. The intervention ensured adherence to timelines and regulations, optimizing resources while effectively addressing emerging technical needs. Coordination of activities, management of design variations, and supervision of operations were carried out with careful attention to the budget and scheduling.
