The project transformed spaces within the Biella Prison into a tailoring workshop for uniform production, involving up to 50 inmates in sewing, cutting, and warehouse management activities.
The intervention included extraordinary maintenance works to adapt functional and utility systems, such as the installation of new electrical and mechanical systems, as well as ventilation and air treatment systems. Internal spaces were reorganized, accessibility was improved, and adequate safety and comfort conditions were ensured for workers.
This initiative carries strong social value, promoting work reintegration and providing professional training opportunities within the prison environment.
