The executive design involved the construction of a new building intended as a school and public gym in Asti, adjacent to the G. Penna High School. The project aims to create a contemporary sports hub that meets the needs of the school and local associations, featuring functional architecture integrated into its context.
The complex is designed according to sustainability and energy efficiency principles: the roof hosts photovoltaic panels, while the building systems combine a hydronic system for service areas and an all-air system for the gym. The structure, built in wood for the main volume and steel for the service areas, interacts with the surrounding environment through a clean and dynamic architectural language.
The redesigned outdoor spaces include a new parking area and a natural engineering intervention with reinforced earth structures to optimize terrain usability. The project establishes a new reference point for sport and community life, blending innovation, nature, and social interaction.
