The Studio managed the renovation and functional upgrading of the Major Burns Unit and the Plastic Surgery operating theater, aiming to ensure advanced healthcare performance in compliance with current fire safety and healthcare regulations. The intervention required managing complex design variations, including revisions of civil and structural works, adjustment of subfloors, installation of REI 60 partition walls and ceilings, and the implementation of seismic supports.
From an MEP perspective, specialized systems were installed, including medical gas networks, UPS, CCTV, and power lines for electromedical equipment. Three dedicated AHU systems, with capacities up to 11,000 m³/h, were installed and integrated with the existing thermal and refrigeration plants. Works were organized to minimize interference with hospital operations through certified temporary compartmentalization.
The site management also fully reorganized the construction accounting, standardizing heterogeneous prior documentation and implementing an updated digital system to ensure proper administrative closure of the project.
