The project involved the construction of a nursery for 60 children, integrated with a public park, on a newly urbanized site. The building was developed on a single above-ground floor and a technical basement, organized into three functional volumes: administrative area, common services, and classroom block. Each section (infants, semi-independent, and toddlers) had dedicated spaces for rest, meals, and care, with direct access to outdoor play areas.
The building systems included a geothermal water-to-water heat pump, radiant floor heating with integrated dehumidification, and a 70 kWp photovoltaic system. The building was designed according to NZEB criteria, using low-impact materials (microporous bricks, ventilated gres façade, and aerogel insulation).
The project ensured maximum accessibility in accordance with D.M. 236/1989 and integrated the nursery spaces with the adjacent public park, enhancing the interaction between indoor and outdoor areas through transparency, sensory pathways, and outdoor educational spaces.
