The Final Executive design concerns the creation of three new residential units and the redevelopment of the existing unit on the basement level of the public residential building in Moncalieri. The preliminary study, aimed at selecting the best design solutions to optimize space distribution and accessibility, proposes converting the common areas into three new residential units with external access.
Particular attention was given to the removal of architectural barriers, especially addressing level differences, through the construction of an external ramp and a platform lift. From an energy perspective, interventions on the existing basement unit were carried out to improve and ensure optimal comfort for the residents, including the installation of a cavity wall and internal insulation.
To promote social integration, common areas were enhanced with furniture and green spaces within the building’s courtyard.
