The project involved the demolition and reconstruction of a single-family building, preserving the existing volume, shape, and footprint. The intervention became necessary following structural assessments that revealed critical issues regarding seismic safety.
The new construction was built with a reinforced concrete load-bearing structure, ensuring adequate seismic resistance and improving energy efficiency through the installation of both external and internal insulation systems. The roof, made of glulam timber, was designed with two asymmetrical pitches to incorporate the new porch on the north façade.
The exterior finishes combine neutral-toned plaster with a Luserna stone basecourse. The intervention enhanced the architectural quality, energy performance, and accessibility of the building, without altering urban planning parameters or boundary distances.
