The studio redeveloped the roof of a residential building, transforming it into an active and integrated architectural element. The project replaced the entire existing structure with a new insulated timber roof, redesigned to include a dormer and two skylights, improving the natural lighting of the attic spaces.
The geometry of the roof slopes and the choice of materials restored formal coherence to the building volume while preserving its identity. The intervention also integrated a photovoltaic system on the roof, enhancing the structure as an energy-generating infrastructure and providing for an electric vehicle charging station.
Te works included replacing the window frames and redesigning the connections with the existing masonry. The design goal was to combine technical upgrading with architectural renewal, with particular attention to durability and efficient resource use.
