The seismic retrofit and construction site project for the Ravenna Radar Tower, a strategic structure for air traffic control managed by ENAV S.p.A., ensured structural safety and operational continuity throughout all phases of the work. The interventions included structural reinforcement with carbon fibers, foundation consolidation using micropiles and reinforced concrete curbs, and the construction of a new prefabricated building for the Radio Room, previously located on the tower’s second floor, to reduce structural load.
New electrical and air-conditioning systems were also installed, and temporary modifications were made to existing systems to keep equipment operational. The construction site was organized in three phases, optimizing space and timing while minimizing interference with operational activities. Completed in 200 days with a budget of €1,670,000, the project adhered to both schedule and costs, ensuring the full functionality of the tower and its associated services.
